Well, I am here to share with you all, about my exciting trip to Yelagiri along with my family. Though I had visited this hill station few months back I just wanna make an entry in my personal blog and share my experience.
Not a big gigantic mountain but it has 14 hair pin bends, it has a good cool climate. Each hair pin bends has a quite familiar Tamil poet's and saints/monks names. It has an extraordinary view of the near by towns when seen from the top and specifically from some of the view points.

As a thumb rule for all the hill stations it also has view points, lake where boating is allowed, many parks etc. As this place is not yet invaded by many people it is not as polluted as Ooty and Kodaikanal. Though it don't have a natural water-falls, artificial one is there to suffice the people who crave for it. But believe me falls is not so nice. :)

Please do not expect marvelous sight seeing places and you will be the looser. As all other hill tops this also has a highest peak called Swamy malai. The Punganar lake, is the artificial lake where boating is allowed. The water is clear so boating here is suggested than boating in the famous Ooty lake.
This is a quite good place for relaxation and the climate will be good all-together for the whole year. Things to buy only include different types of fruits and nothing more than that.
Now I take the pleasure of mentioning one more interesting place which is few kilometers away from the foot hills of Yelagiri. JALAGAMPARAI - pronounced as Jala-gam-parai, is a natural waterfalls which originates from the ranges of Yelagiri hills. Best time to visit is sometime after the monsoon rainfall so that we can atleast see some water :) .
